Working at home is sometimes not as easy as everyone says it is, yes you are your own boss and yes you can work on your own schedules but then the distractions can be just too many at times, besides there are way too many things you need to get done in a day in order to make sure your business functions efficiently and professionally even if you don’t have your hands full with something that is your job and on days when business is good you might just wish there were more than just 24 hours in a day! First Things First

Make sure you have your goals clearly laid out, then prioritize what tasks will lead you to achieve your goals and then keep everything that you believe is a distraction towards that goal for later on.

List out all ‘To-Do’ Tasks and Write them down

You have to have one, even I always thought I would never need one but only after I began making my to-do lists I saw the difference, I am not worried about forgetting something,  duplicating something or even doing something less important when the deadline was nearing. Make it on paper or download free software like rainlender or stick it notes.

Discard everything unimportant

The first step in managing your desk is to discard everything unimportant, basically paper work that you don’t need. Store it in a different place and don’t forget to tag it, so that you can find everything you need when you need it.
