If you are a Mom and you are also trying to earn some money in a work from home business then time management has to be one of your biggest worries. You are at home because of your children and your business also demands your time and attention. The obvious is obvious for everyone, time when the kids are in bed or napping or away but here are some useful tips to spare you some quality time.
Home business time management.
Set an idea when you go online
The time you switch on your computer to work, you should have in mind a definite frame of how you will go about it. It makes sure that you do not waste your time without a direction like aimless checking of emails or chatting. The journal by your computer should always tell you what you need to do and finish it before moving on further to the next thing in line.
You can also make use of the outsourcing and hiring assistants online. Check you’re your accountant as to how to make it tax deductible.
Analyze your activities
Know where you are spending you time and energy and whether they can be utilized in a more positive way. The reason that you are working at home is to spare time for you family which is probably what you are not doing if you have no time left. The useless surfing and other activities which have no productive value just eat away into your time.
Use baby services
make use of nannies and babysitters, they come cheap and you can get your kids to have fun without exerting yourself and you will get time for your own self as well and your business.
Make use of technology
The technology is there to improve your life standard; if you are working at home and have time constraints these are going to be your best friends. Get a laptop and a wireless internet and you can work from your kid’s playroom. Get to know and use other facilities like auto responders etc and get to work smartly.

To increase our money making arenas we don’t need to work twice as hard, it is just a effort of a little more caliber to give a lot more results.A lot of time management disasters are a result of omissions or mistakes that we do while in an illusion that we have been managing time well. It is these that stop us from functioning at full speed and pace.
The top five time management mistakes that we make are:-
1) To start the day without any definite agenda on your mind: - the day has to start with a definite frame of mind in which you know the tasks to be accomplished during that phase and day. You will know your priorities and deadlines and will understand where it is that you are going wrong.
2) Get unbalanced in life:- the seven important areas which need out attention are Intellectual, Health, Family, Social, Financial, Professional, and Spiritual. The amount spend in all of these areas make up most of our total gross time spent and it is not necessary that each areas will have the same amount of attention and time. The balance will thus get out of control and eventually will lead to stress in life, this stress will then lead to work getting sabotaged and this time management goes down the drain hover much you work on it.
3) Work in a mess or have a dirty messy work area: - the mind is easily distracted by things around, and if the desk itself or the work area itself is messy then there is no other option for the mind but to be distracted every time it looks up from the work that you are doing. The mind is always crowed with things to do and the mind is never free form the clutter of thoughts just like the space that it works in.
4) don’t get enough sleep: - nearly 75% of the workforce complains of all out tiredness even after a good night’s sleep, that is because whatever time is that you miss out on sleep, it piles on as sleep debt, which needs to be finished, or the people have a lot of sleep but the quality of sleep is very poor, this brings a lot of stress into our lives.
5) don’t take a lunch break:- after several hours of work the minds starts to dull, this is because the mind needs replenishment of the nutrients lost during work hours and only after the required break from work and from stress will result in any productive work. If we don’t take the breaks needed, out mind will continue to work but dull, this will result in double the amount of time taken to do any work.

One of the biggest need in this world is for people who will clean other people’s houses, in the olden times, the maids and house keeps were the domain of the rich and the princely classes, but today with so many people in immensely demanding jobs, the need for someone to mange the home while the other is away is not unfelt.
Are you a cleaning freak? This question might seem to be absurd to a few of our readers, but to those who actually enjoy the tasks of cleaning, this is a perfect home based business. It provides you with what u love to do as well as make sure that the income is good and the best part is no taxes. These people do not have to pay taxes, technically they are supposed to but in reality very few do. Unlike the drudgery of the old world house keeps, today no more than a day or two is devoted to each house for the upkeep, and the money is definitely good.
The work is also quite routine, unless in addition to a special request sometimes, the work that a person has to do while cleaning is routine housework that you do in your own house, you will always know what to expect and how much time it will take. There are very few chances of a mistake or an error being made in the course of employment and it is usually a smooth ride. Often this work is done when the owner is away, thus you can work at your leisure, listen to whatever music you prefer or do the cleaning in whatever way you like, as long as you maintain the integrity of the work. You can also easily schedule this work according to the schedule that you already have, or according to your other commitments.
The house will usually have its own cleaning materials; you can negotiate the price, and the services that you will offer and what you won’t. This is one business where you yourself are a master of whatever your demands are and you call the shots in a particular job.

The Mecca of all home lovers and people who don’t want to go out or cant go out to work and still want to be self sufficient “ home based jobs”Oft stated, that this is the age of merging identities and faceless jobs, this statement is never truer than on an employer employee relationship on the web. So much freedom also means more risks, so if you are ready to risk something a whole lot of avenues will open up for u.
Doubtful offers to work from home have been floating around for quite some tie now, but now the level of dangerous work is far more difficult. The offers are now much less innocent than they were maybe a decade ago
The most dangerous of these are payment scams. Most of us have at one time or the other come across and offer in which the author asks us to accept and further transfer payments for the work that he has done citing a reaon as innocent as money exchange problems, the incentive given is great and upto 10% of the payments. Tempting as it may seem it is probably the work of a new age terrorist needing money.
Accept it!! Internet duping is a fact, everyone come across it, if u fall of a scam like this, and unfortunately are in actuality supplying money to a fraud or a terrorist, the consequences can be quite disastrous ranging from waking up one morning and finding yourself in the midst of a terror group, waking up in jail or the least of all getting swindled of a whole bundle of money.
These emails or messages use quite a few tactics to get my trust, ranging from sounding like a poor person unknown of the ways of the world, to a rich Nigerian having million of dollars locked up and can be freed only with your help
The Nigerian scam has actually swindled so many of reputation and money. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/nigeralrt.shtm
The biggest lesson that life teaches us is that no work no pay!!! And that is doesn’t come easy, at least not that easy. So be wise and don’t fall for these scams. Honest work is definitely more satisfying.

If you have been reading this blog regularly, you are familiar with this series, in the last blog, I gave an overview of the concept of home based businesses and in this blog I shall list out five simple steps for starting a home based business.
Business Idea
You need an idea to start a business, its always advisable for home based businesses to select an idea of interest. However, for a small business copying a successful idea is a good approach. Look out for other small businesses and identify the ones that are making money, you can modify their strategies and give them some competition.
Business Plan
Small or large, irrespective of the size of a business, a business plans holds the same importance. Without a business plan you’ll be just hitting around the bushes. A business plan allows you to identify threats and opportunities for your business and be prepared for the same.
Finance
Once you have selected an idea and prepared the business plan, you need to assess the financial requirements of your business and drawing a financial plan will be very helpful as it can save you from a lot of trouble in the future. If you have prepared a good business plan, you already half way through towards financing your home business. Loans from banks are not easy to obtain, the options left are family, friends and relatives or angel investors.
Structure
Small businesses usually need not incorporate themselves, however a lot of home business owners incorporate their business these days just so that their prospective clients have one more reason to trust them. Small businesses can easily be incorporated as Limited Liability Companies as it allows owners to enjoy liability protection similar to a Corporation and Partnership firm without the complications.
Operations
Unless and until you are able to manage the overheads properly, you are not likely to succeed in your home business venture. To make profit and remain profitable due care has to be given to managing overheads, cutting costs and optimum utilization of available resources.

Need money, quick, but don’t want to confine to the rigors of a job?? The answer to the eternal question is paid surveys. No start up capital? Paid surveys, the answer to your questions.
The surveys companies now conduct a lot of research themselves in the form on e forms which the people have to fill. The money is paid just for participating in these surveys. Believe it or not is actually saves money for these companies which otherwise would have to hire the call centers for the same work.
The other forms of compensation for participating in these paid surveys are
- vouchers
- reward pints
- cash
- credit.
Thus the safety net for your future business can be made safely and best of all without any capital, you will generate the money without any startup funds mostly required.
Taking part in these is a piece of cake, all you have to do to start earning the dough is to sign up for the companies which are of interest and which you think pay well and also whose surveys you think you can successfully complete, most of these companies will automatically email you when there is a survey to be filled
The payment is made in the next cycle and the amount is credited to your account.
The only thing to be careful here is that the companies you sign up for should pay you. Also ensure that you sign up for lots of companies so that there are lots of surveys to be filled and a lot of opportunities to earn that extra money. The amount of surveys with a given company at a given time may be less or more depending on their credibility.
And then the additional bonus is of the referrals. Some sites pay you to get them more people to survey, the bonus usually is around 10% to 30% of the salary of the referrals and the best part is that you get paid even from your referral’s referral.
There is nothing to lose from trying this option as your money making genie.
